An open-ended adjustable wrench, also known as a Crescent wrench, for the Crescent tool company, or a C-wrench, is an open ended wrench with an adjustable lower jaw. A thumb screw in the jaw acts as a worm gear to slide the lower jaw closer to and farther away from the upper jaw.
